Q: Can the clamping studs be removed from the vises?
A: Yes

A: Yes

Q: What are the blue cap screws on the side of the plate for?
A: They are cover screws for the wedge system, please do not remove them unless the wedge system needs to be exchanged

Q: What are the M5 bores on the surface of some of the plates for?
A: When a cap screw is inserted, a recess/bore on the base of the vise or fixture ensures proper part

Q: What are the red and green plastic features on some of the fixtures and plates?
A: The red and green bumpers are designed to visualy assist with part orientation when loading the fixture

Q: What is the thread size and pitch for the clamping studs?
A: 20mm studs (145570) are M10x1.5 and the 16mm studs (145270) are M8x1.25

Q: What is the recommended torque to use for vises?
A: 46mm vises have a maximum torque of 30Nm. 77 mm vises have a maximum torque of 70Nm and 125mm

Q: What is the recommended torque to use for the plates?
A: All of our Quick-Point plates have a required maximum torque of 30Nm except the 96mm 4 fold raster

Q: Can the vises be actuated pneumatically or hydraulically?
A: At this time vises can not be actuated pneumatically or hydraulically

Q: What is the minimum order amount?
A: The minimum order amount is $50.00

Q: Can I use a normal Allen or hex wrench with the vises and plates?
A: Torque wrenches are required to ensure proper product performance and longevity

Q: Do I need to use a Makro Grip Stamping Unit to use the Grip Vises?
A: The Makro Grip stamping unit is recommended for all applications and materials but only required for hard material and/or high production volume. Please contact a representative for more information.
